It's been a good week! We went from one investigator last week to finding seven more this week! Whoop whoop! Our zone killed it with finding new people to teach. Our zone goal for the week was to find 12 investigators...and we found 36. Rock on.
We put two people on date for baptism as well this week, so pray for them! One of them is....David Stubbs. But honestly I doubt he'll be ready by the date we set.. we need to go slower with him since he learns differently and needs to build his testimony, not just check things off the list. But he and this girl Joycelyn totally came to church on Sunday and stayed for the whole thing! So that was great.
The ward here is AWESOME. Every family we meet is just ridiculously nice and super great. We have like four families already who we feel right at home with. Love it. Speaking of which, we haven't had running water in our house we live in for the past three days. hahaha They have a well that supplies the water to the house, and I guess Saturday the pump broke. So Sunday morning we had to call up one of the families in the ward to go shower at their house. It's been an adventure. But luckily the Blackburns have a bunch of water in storage so we've been able to get by just fine. Hopefully they're able to fix the pump today...
And okay. Have you ever had homemade apple juice before? GOOD HEAVENS. One of the ladies in the ward makes a whole bunch every year and she gave us some...I don't know what crap I've been drinking all my life, but this apple juice is straight from heaven. Just FYI. :)
Okay lemme answer your questions, pappy:
The ward is probably less than 200..I don't really know yet. And it's a good mix of old peeps and young families. Kinda like ours, but smaller. Fo sho.
Daily routine...depends on the day. Wake up, personal study, comp study, training, then head out. We usually do contacting in the afternoons...then dinner with a family in the ward, then we try to have all our set appointments in the evening. We're in by 9 or 930, and in bed by 1030. Full-time job.
We have dinner every single night with a family in the ward. And so far we've only had one gross dinner. :)
We really haven't cooked a ton since we have dinner taken care of for us every night...and for lunch we usually just do leftovers or something. But we shop together and just switch off buying things, and that works fine for us since we get along well.
And just use the mission address I gave you, that way we don't have to worry about switching addresses all the time. It only takes one extra day for the letters to be forwarded to me so the mission office is the best address for everyone to use. Unless you wanna send me food or something. Then just let me know :)
Here are some more pics for ya!
Have a good week! Send this girl some more mail! :)
