Okay. Lots of things.
-First and foremost, I'm staying in Hermiston finishing training Sister Harris for this next transfer. And I have info for you about the mission split:
So usually transfers are 6 weeks...this one will only be 4 weeks, and the next will be 8 weeks because of the split. The Vancouver mission is taking everything from the Dalles west...and the WKM is picking up Moses Lake, Othello, Wenatchee, and Ephrata (no clue how to spell those haha). Apparently we're getting some missionaries from the Spokane mission...maybe Ari will be one of those! haha :) anybody hear from her on the situation? Anywho. June 18th will be the deciding transfer...wherever you get sent then is what mission you'll be in. GAH.
-Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!! Yes I got your package, thanks a bunch! :) My birthday was GREAT. I got phone calls and texts from a bunch of people in the ward and investigators alike...Mama Blackburn made us scones for breakfast, and we had dinner at the Baros' house. They made a ton of italian food and got me a cake and everything...and they bought me a UKELELE!!! hahaha it had been a joke with me and hovorka that i was going to find a guitar or uke from goodwill or some trailer park and jack it from their house so i could have one out here. And now I totally have one. I was stoked. They got us a bunch of popsicles and otter pops (a staple out here) and gift cards to subway. They are seriously the best.
- Zone conference was on tuesday...it was awesome as usual. It was all about the role of Repentance in the Doctrine of Christ and how everything points back to Christ. Elder Holland spoke at the last mission president's seminar, so the conference was a lot of what the Greer's learned there from him. It was pretty sweet.
- To answer your questions, p days are different each time lately. It just depends on the zone...but last week we went and played Survivor at a park (volleyball, frisbee, basketball, and foam sword fights)...and this week we are going to a different park and getting pizza and saying goodbyes for transfers and stuffs. (Our zone won at zone conference for having the cleanest cars...so they awarded the zone 50 bucks to do what we please with. So they chose pizza.)
- we started teaching one of the Baros boys' girlfriend a few weeks ago...and that has been going really good. she is afraid to tell her parents that she's been coming over for the lessons because they're hard core catholic...but all in good time. we'll see what happens.
