Day 409 Othello, Wa. do you wanna build a snowman?

Hello family!!

First and foremost: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON FRIDAY, MOO!!!! And Happy Valentines Day to the rest of you...what a dumb day. Unless you're Meagan. :)

We had a pretty good week! Sharlene is now on date for March 8th, which we are stoked for! She is such a sweetheart. Deanna is still progressing really well...haha this week she told us that she felt this was the path for her, but the only thing holding her back was Pastor Bob from the Nazarene church. (Super anti church that is really big around here....so many people have told us that the only reason they go is because of Pastor Bob.) She said she was praying about it and asking God what to do....and this week he announced he was retiring! hahaha :)

I'm FINALLY getting over my cold!! Hallelujah. I have been trying a ridiculous amount of home remedies from people we talk to...including drinking cherry concentrate, mexican lemon tea from an elder, herbal pills, vitamin d, vitamin c, etc etc etc. One or more of them worked though! So...yeah.

I'm hoping the snowstorm that hit us this week was able to head your way too!! We went service tracting with the elders and shoveled driveways, which was really fun. Good times. Most of the wards around the mission got cancelled this sunday due to the roads....except ours. SCORE! haha Deanna, Sammi, and Sharlene ALL came!! It was awesome :) Which leads me into the miracle of the week:

It was Deanna, Sammi, and Sharlene's first time coming to church, so naturally we were listening to the talks from their point of view. The topic? .....temples. Yeah. Yikes. I was just sitting there praying for them to just feel the Spirit. Okay. Are you ready? Here's the miracle. Elder Risenmay (who used to be bishop of the 3rd ward) was there. He was supposed to be in Portland, picking up another General Authority, but the snow storm made it so he had to stay home. And he decided to come to our ward. He told the bishop he wanted to speak for the last 10 minutes of the meeting...so he got up at the end and spoke simply and powerfully of God's love for us. He told of an investigator on his mission and how they came to know that the Book of Mormon was true. The Spirit was SO SO strong, and it was perfect for our investigators. When he sat down, the thought came to my mind clearer than anything: God was aware of Deanna, Sammi, and Sharlene. He knew they needed to feel the Spirit and so he made it possible for Elder Risenmay to be there for THEM. I just sat there with tears in my eyes, realizing just how important each of us are to Him. I love being a missionary. :)

Love you all!! Have an awesome week!
