Day 430 Othello, Wa. down in Africa

 Hola!

Too many things to talk about this week. You get bullet points.

- Our bishop totally put his next door neighbor on date this week!! Ha he set a date for April 21st. How awesome is our bishop? Too awesome. (Sorry Amanda, don't mean to rub it in. hahaha)

- both wards had their activities this week, and we only got to go to one....which was fine, because we had investigators there! yay!!! Our bishop actually invited Monica and her family last minute to it, and they CAME!! And they had a blast!! It was all safari themed and stuff, and it was surprisingly fun. So we were super pumped to see them there. See pictures. :)

- Stake conference was this weekend, and it was awesome. The Saturday night session was ALL about missionary work. The theme of the whole conference was "Do we know what we have?" All the missionaries sat up in the choir section for the whole thing...and we just basked in the glory of all the talks about member missionary work. haha we were so happy. :) Sharlene came to stake conference as well, and she is set for her baptism on Wednesday!! Hooray!!! She is so cute...the first many times we've taught her, she would never say the prayer cause she was too shy. But a couple times ago, we asked who she would like to say the prayer, and out of the blue she goes, "I would like to say it!" YAYYYY!!! Absolutely my favorite thing on the mission: hearing investigators pray. Hands down. So keep her in your prayers that things will work out for wednesday! :)

- we had a SUPER cool experience this week. So we had a referral that we were trying to teach this week named Lazet. We showed up and her boyfriend opened the door. (His name is Julio.) We asked if she was home, and he said yeah, but it wasn't a good time. He started to cry, and said he was just going through some things. We told him that our message was about healing and hope through our hard times, and asked if we could take just a minute to share it with him. He said yes, and let us in. We shared Helaman 5:12 and just bore our testimonies. It was awesome. We have a return appointment with them! :)

- it snowed like crazy the other day. wheeeee.

That's about it for this week! Transfer calls are this Saturday (AGAIN?! WHAT?!?!) so I'll keep ya posted on what happens...

Love you!
